INTERESTING FACTS Since the early days of Black & White, two Scottish Terriers have become iconic symbols of the brand. Black and White founder James Buchanan, an ardent dog lover, supposedly got the idea for the black and white terriers on his way home from a dog show. The whiskies are matured in casks that started life as American burbon barrels or Spanich sherry butts and have previously been used to mature Scotch. This previous use ensures that thet casks gently mature the malts and grains, giving them a spicy, vanilla note without imparting powerful wood-derived flavours.   Since the early days of Black & White, two Scottish Terriers (black and white) have become iconic symbols of the brand.
